It was baby bonanza weekend. First, the birthing class. Eight hours of very candid instruction on how to have a baby, the benefits of breastfeeding, and breathing. It was pretty good-until the films. Why do they show you the films? And why do women decide they want to be in these films? Do they feel they are doing some kind of service to other women. Well, I have to disagree - because now every time I think of having our babies - I think that it is not going to be fun. And that they should really show those films as part of some kind of birth control for young teenagers. Pain management is for me and lots of drugs!
Well, the next day was far more enjoyable. I had my baby shower. Which, despite my relentless quest to unravel the mystery - my mother n' law, sister n' law, my good friend Mark and Jeff did a fabulous job of keeping every detail away from me. The day was beautiful and the party was great. People are calling me to tell me how great the party was - so you know it was a good time...and there was not even any booze. The theme - was "pea in the pod"...or should I say "peas in the pod". There were flowers and candles....everyone decorated onsies and bibs. And the gifts- everyone was far too generous! TOO GENEROUS! These babies are going to be spoiled and mommy and daddy will have loads of fun playing with all their toys! There were crocheted blankets and amazing gifts - like our bmw of strollers - the Contours Double Stroller (in red!). Insert oooohhhss and ahhhhhhs here!
It was fabulous weekend and thanks to everyone for making it so special. I am still on cloud 942...!!! Well - I am kinda big - so maybe cloud 4 - but definitely feeling cloud 942'sh!
