Shadowbox Babies

I'm not always sure about sharing all of our ultrasound pictures. I admit they're not as cute as our actual baby pictures will be. And there will be lots of those.

But I think around the turn of the twentieth century, those shadowbox pictures were popular - you know, the ones where you step in front of a light source and someone traces your image. Like the opening sequence of Alfred Hitchcock presents. Well, these latest sonogram pictures are like that. The babies have actual profiles. They don't look like potatoes, they aren't just a blob for a head and a different blob for a body. No, they both have actual noses, lips, foreheads, etc. I couldn't be more proud.

Plus, these are the first photos where we actually have good pictures of Twin B. I don't think we'll ever tell the kids which one is Twin A and which one is Twin B, but in the interest of sibling fairness, here are photos of both.

The first is Twin A in profile - you can see lips, nose, ear, and forehead, plus a little arm extending out...

Twin B in profile - not the clearest picture, but the clearest we have of Twin B. I think they both have Alecia's nose...

Ah, what the heck, who's fair? Here's our color picture of Twin A. This one actually looks a little less like a profile, and a little more like the aforementioned blobs, but it's still our baby...
